Grandmaster An, with Buddha Gautama Statue(small - click for normal size)     The main religion of Vietnam is Buddhism. There have been created a lot of various works dedicated to this topic. Unlike the Christian culture all of the Buddhist works filled with the spirit of freedom and calmness. The temples give the perception of celebration. The beautiful statues of Buddha, architecture of the temples and monasteries, parks, all of which fit nicely the contemporary world. A lot of senior people go to the temples to pray there. On this page you can see the personal photos of Grandmaster Huynh Ngoc An made by him during his journey to the temples and other Buddhist holy places in March 1997. One of the statues of Shakuyama near which Grandmaster An is on the photo has an attached small house. This house was protecting under it’s roof Buddha himself from rains. However, during the last was the house was destroyed by a bomb, but the statue of Buddha was not hit. Many people attributed that to the holy force of the Buddha`s teaching.
